Pass Plus

Want Cheaper Car Insurance?  Then this course could be for you.

Once you have passed your practical driving test, you then have the opportunity to increase your driving experience with pass plus. It is a course designed to give you experience of different road situations, it covers six modules:

• Introduction and town driving
• All weather driving
• Rural roads
• Driving at Night
• Dual carriageways
• Motorways

Each different module will last at least 1 hour, to ensure that the subject is covered fully. Most of the above will have been covered within your normal driving lessons, with pass plus it puts more emphasis on driving positively and looking at a range of different situations.

Once you have passed all the different modules, you will then be given a certificate (Which is issued by the dsa) this then will be used to get discount with various insurance companies. (A list can be obtained from your driving instructor)

Does Pass Plus involve a test?

There is no test involved just an assessment by the driving instructor. On successful completion of the course I send the relevant signed documents to the DSA who issue you with a certificate.

Who can take a Pass Plus course?

Anyone can take pass plus at anytime after passing your practical driving test. Pass plus is a great way to gain extra experience of many different road situations that you may not have encountered whilst learning to drive. In particular, you will learn to cope with unfamiliar territory by driving in a town you have not driven in before. You will also drive on a motorway, normally the M25 or M11, this is not allowed before passing your practical test.
